4390 Taxi Firenze was founded in 1974 and has since then worked with quality and passion at the forefront of its business. Today over 400 taxi drivers work with 4390, including about sixty women, and 24 contract staff. There are 315 partners.
Chairman Luca Tani and vice chairman Claudio Giudici are still in their thirties and the Board of Directors is equally as young.
In 2007 4390 Taxi Firenze was a founding member of the “Unione dei Radiotaxi d’Italia” (Italian Union of Radiotaxis) which is now the industry’s most widespread Italian association involving almost 50 radiotaxi companies and over 12,000 taxi drivers.
Radio taxi, which is still headquartered at Via dello Steccuto, in the Rifredi area in Florence, operates on the philosophy that mobility is green. It was the first in Tuscany to be equipped with an electric taxi, 50% of its vehicles are eco-sustainable and in recent days the construction of a new central office, which will be totally powered by a photovoltaic plant, was discussed and adopted. This involved an investment of almost 2 million Euros which clearly sets out this Company’s willingness to look confidently into the future.
So, to date, 4390 Taxi Firenze is the only radiotaxi company in Europe (and perhaps the world), together with 3570 Roma, to be completely powered by clean energy, having solar energy storage systems and fast electric car charging systems.
4390 has always kept a close eye on modern technology and as such is equipped with the latest radiotaxi technology currently present on the market.

The company also offers exclusive services to its customers who can charge their smartphones free of charge in the taxis. It is also the only Italian radiotaxi service to have created a Maternity Taxi service for expectant mums; but in any case, all women can travel safely with a taxi driver who will drop them off at their home at night, only leaving when they can see them get inside the house.
Some time ago, 4390 also signed an agreement with Adiconsum for customer safeguarding and introduced the initiative “4390 listens to everyone”, which makes travel easier for Deaf customers by letting them book a taxi through a special app.
4390 is also involved in social initiatives: it works with the Meyer hospital and promotes sports and psycho-educational activities for young disabled people. Always at your side.
