Can I book a taxi in advance?

According to the taxi service regulations of the City of Florence, taxis cannot be booked in advance like private transfers.
Requests made in advance are technically a "deferred call": the request is recorded in the taxi system, but an available vehicle is searched for approximately 10 minutes before the requested time.
For this reason, the taxi's arrival at the requested time cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on the availability of vehicles in service at that time and in the requested area.
If a taxi is available, the customer will also be required to pay the taxi driver for any arrival and waiting time, as indicated by the taximeter.
